About Artivists Network for Innovation

A member-based campaigning network” 

Artivists a cohesion of artists and activists from Afghanistan is a term used at ArtLords. Through the Artivists Network for Innovation (ANI), it aims to become a hub for young artists and activists in Afghanistan. ANI members collaborate to come up with effective social campaigns by employing the soft power of art and activism. ANI attracts members from all over Afghanistan. The members’ work such as activism campaigns can be published through the ANI website and ArtLords social media pages for wider reach. Muralists, painters, musicians, theater actors, cinema actors, dancers, comics, digital artists, journalists, and civil society can be members of the Artivists Network for Innovation (ANI).

The ANI serves as a platform for Artivists from around Afghanistan to share ideas, brainstorm campaign strategies, and connect with the wider artists community of Afghanistan to amplify the voices of the citizens on different issues. The members can learn from the expertise of the ArtLords and other members of developing their skills and capacity to plan, implement, and publicize activism campaigns.

About ArtLords

ArtLords is established in 2014 by a group of young Afghan leaders. It is a grassroots movement of artists and volunteers who are motivated by the desire to pave the way for social transformation, collective behavioral change, promotion of social and religious tolerance (religious pluralism), social cohesion, and cultural diversity through employing the soft power of art and culture as a non-intrusive approach. ArtLords aim to transform Afghanistan and the South Asian region through the creation of social movements and a platform to counter social challenges.

ANI members benefit from the learning, networking, capacity building, and collaboration opportunities of different stakeholders. The following members’ campaigns and activities have been conceptualized, planned, implemented, and publicized with the help of ArtLords and the ANI members.
